The Ruidoso Grindstone Trail Runs is the 12th annual trail race held in downtown Ruidoso with start and finish at Wingfield Park. The event offers multiple distances on mixed trail and paved terrain and includes a Kid's Dash that circles Wingfield Park. The Grindstone series has supported the All-Season Adaptive Sports program since 2014; more than $60,000 has been donated to the program over the past eleven years.

Participants receive commemorative engraved granite stone coaster finisher medals, a custom soft-style shirt, a custom race bib, and complimentary professional race photos. T-shirt size is guaranteed for registrations received by the stated deadline. Post-race amenities include refreshments and fruit at the finish, post-race showers at the Ruidoso Athletic Club, commemorative award charms for top age group finishers, and carved Ruidoso bear awards for the top three overall male and female finishers. Downshift Brewing offers participant discounts and hosts the after-party; a commemorative cake and post-race gathering are part of the event.

The event is cupless on course; refill stations are available at Wingfield Park and at designated on-course refill points for the longer distances. Race-day packet pick-up is available at Wingfield Park; there is no race day registration.
