Distances
The event features two main distances:
- 4.20-mile run
- 1-mile fun run or walk
A separate registration is available for a virtual 4.2-mile run.
Location and Date
The event takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Enchanted Vine by Noisy Water Winery on Fort Stanton Road in Alto, New Mexico.
Course and Event Details
This is the fourth annual family-friendly event. The 4.20-mile run is an out-and-back course on Fort Stanton Road with views of the Sierra Blanca mountain range. The 1-mile fun run/walk starts shortly after. Packet pickup is on-site before the event.
After-Party and Activities
An after-party includes snacks, Kool-Aid, a food truck, and beer and wine specials. The movie Dazed and Confused will be shown inside the venue's barn. The event includes a costume contest for best-dressed "hippie" attire, with prizes. Music from the movie's soundtrack and other 70s classics will be played.
Awards and Swag
Top three male and female finishers in the 4.20-mile run receive age group awards. All participants in the run and walk receive a vintage finisher medal, an event movie poster, and a sticker. Runners in the 4.20-mile event also receive an old-school logo shirt. A deadline exists to guarantee shirt size. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
