Event Overview
This event offers two main distances: a 4.20 mile run and a 1 mile fun run/walk. It is described as a family-friendly celebration held on April 18. The start and finish location is Enchanted Vine by Noisy Water Winery on Fort Stanton Road in Alto, New Mexico.
Course and Location
The 4.20 mile course is an out-and-back route on Ft Stanton Road, offering views of the Sierra Blanca mountain range. All activities are centered at the winery venue.
Schedule and Registration
Packet pickup is available only on the event day at the winery from 3:00 PM to 4:10 PM. The 4.20 mile run starts at 4:20 PM, followed by the 1 mile start at 4:21 PM. Registration includes various items depending on the chosen participation option.
Swag and Awards
Participants in the 4.20 mile run receive an old-school vintage shirt, a custom vintage finisher's medal, a sticker, and an event movie poster. Those in the 1 mile fun run/walk receive the vintage finisher's medal, sticker, and poster. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in multiple categories for the 4.20 mile race.
After-Party and Activities
An after-party features food, drinks, and a screening of the film Dazed and Confused inside the venue barn at 6:00 PM. There is also a costume contest for best-dressed "hippie" attire.
