Rugby Half Marathon
The Rugby Half Marathon is a road-closed Half Marathon event on Sunday 24 October 2027 at Hart Field Playing Fields, Rugby. The course runs through town-centre streets and clear country roads with gentle undulations and an elevation gain of about 166 m. The route passes sections of the disused Great Central Railway, now a linear nature reserve, before returning to the town for the finish.
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, bag drop and post-race goodies. There are bottled water stations on course at approximately 1 mile, 4 miles, 7 miles and 10 miles, with a bottle of water available at the finish. A GPX file of the route is provided.
Logistics note that the event has a three hour cut-off and a minimum entry age of 17. The event village provides spectator access to the start and finish; spectators may bring dogs only within the event village and they must be kept on a lead. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs or prams.
The event is organised by RunThrough. Practical information on access indicates Rugby train station is about 1.6 miles from the event village and there is limited local parking, including a car park at Rugby Town FC that is roughly a 15 minute walk from the site.
