The race is a road closed Half Marathon that starts on Hart Field and follows town centre streets and clear country roads with gentle undulations that suit steady pacing and finishing efforts. The route passes sections of the disused Great Central Railway, now a linear nature reserve and recognised wildlife hotspot, before returning to town for the finish.
Entry includes a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip timed results and post race goodies. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags, and marshals are positioned on course to guide and cheer runners.
