Ruck for the Fallen - Quitman
Ruck for the Fallen - Quitman is a memorial ruck and running event held on May 16, 2026 at Governor Jim Hogg Park in Quitman, Texas. The event offers both non-ruck and ruck options and charges a registration fee of $50 for each event entry.
Event distances include:
- 1 Mile Non-Ruck route
- 5K Non-Ruck route
- 10K Non-Ruck route
- 5K Ruck with at least 35 lb ruck
- 10K Ruck with at least 35 lb ruck
Ruck entries require participants to carry a ruck weighing at least 35 pounds. Rucks will be weighed before the start and immediately after finishing. Event staff will not provide additional weight. Participants may run or walk with or without a ruck, but only ruck participants are eligible for podium awards.
Podium categories cover fastest male and female 5K and 10K rucks, Battle Buddy 5K and 10K rucks (teams must start together and finish within 10 meters), and Fire Team 10K ruck (four-team start and finish within 10 meters).
Packet pickup takes place on May 14 and May 15 at Honor Coffee in Quitman and on May 16 at Jim Hogg Park pavilion. Ninety-nine percent of proceeds support the veteran non-profit Boot Campaign; one percent benefits the Quitman Lake Country Charitable Foundation.
