Tater-Tot Trot
The Tater-Tot Trot is a community running event held at Rose Rudman Park in Tyler, Texas. The event features several participation options designed for different interests and experience levels:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Kid's Dash
- Virtual Race
The 5K is a gun-timed event. Participants in this category are eligible for age group awards, which are distributed four deep across numerous divisions ranging from ages 0-4 to over 80. Special platinum medals are awarded to overall winners, as well as masters and grand masters categories for those aged 40 and 60 plus.
The 1 Mile is an untimed option suitable for those new to racing or those who prefer a stroll. While this category does not include age group awards, participants still receive finisher medals and shirts. For younger participants, the Kid's Dash offers a short 100-200 meter sprint to introduce them to the racing environment.
Registered participants for the 5K and 1 Mile received an event-themed t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. Those who cannot attend in person may select the virtual race option to have their materials shipped to them. All awards must be collected at the physical event as they are not shipped afterward.
