About the race
The RuariSparkle Spooktacular Tutu Run, Walk, and Trot is a community event on October 4, 2026 at Yawger Brook Catering and Campground, 989 Chamberlain Road, Auburn, NY. The event supports the RuariSparkle mission to provide comfort and sparkle to children facing childhood cancers and directs proceeds to Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House of Central NY.
Event formats include timed and untimed options and a youth dash. Specific details:
- 2.2 miles (timed Tutu Run with overall and age group awards)
- 1 mile (Tutu Walk, non-timed; strollers welcome)
- Tutu Trot for ages 7 and under (dash in the grass)
- 2.2 miles virtual run/walk/skip/trot (untimed, at participant discretion)
Participants who register by September 21 at 9:00am receive a t-shirt on race day. Reported entry fees are $30 for the in-person 2.2 mile run, $25 for the 1 mile walk, $0 for the youth trot, and $30 for the virtual 2.2 mile option.
The day’s program includes race awards, trick or treating along the course, raffles, face painting, entertainment, a food truck and other family-oriented activities. Recent charitable activities supported by RuariSparkle include the Comfort Fund at Upstate Golisano, a slime cart at the hospital, donation of blankets and diagnosis books, and support for the Ronald McDonald House pantry and a sponsored room.
