Course and amenities
The half marathon is a mostly loop course on low-traffic country roads with a mixture of long flat stretches and rolling hills; miles 8-10 include the steepest sections. The course is USATF distance-certified. The 2-person relay splits the half into two legs; the first leg is relatively flat and the second leg has the hillier segments near miles 8.5 and 9. The 5K is an out-and-back on mostly flat country roads, passing the Beaver Lake lookout, with one moderate uphill before the finish. Participants receive a tree seedling, custom bib, timing chip, finisher medal, and apparel (hoodie for half/relay, tee for 5K). The event provides at least five hydration/aid stations on the half course, porta-johns, a digital finisher certificate, and free parking. Packet pick-up is available Friday, April 17 at the race site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
