Earth Day Half Marathon, 5K & Relay : Baldwinsville, NY

The Earth Day event on April 18, 2026 includes a half marathon, a two person half marathon relay, a 5K and virtual equivalents. The half marathon is USATF distance certified and is run mostly as a loop on low-traffic country roads.

Participants follow courses that pass rolling farmland, pastures with cows and horses, and a lookout at Beaver Lake. The half marathon course features rolling hills with a few notable climbs around Miles 8 and 9. The two person relay divides the half into roughly equal legs of 6.55 miles each; the second leg is hillier with climbs near Miles 8.5 and 9. The 5K is an out-and-back on mostly flat country roads with one moderate uphill before the finish and may briefly use adjacent farmland if conditions warrant.

Event facilities include chip timing, at least five hydration stations on the half marathon course, porta-johns along the route, a custom bib and finisher medal for each distance, and a custom thermal hoodie for half marathon and relay entrants with a custom tee for 5K entrants. All participants receive a tree seedling. The start/finish and post-race fest take place at Emmi Farms Greenhouse with nearby parking. Packet pick up is available at the race site the Friday before the event. The event benefits Baldwinsville Meals on Wheels and the Baldwinsville Sports Booster Club.
