RPM 911 5K : Atlanta, GA
RPM 911 5K is a community race held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at RPM American Legion Post 140, 3905 Powers Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30342. The event marks a day of patriotic remembrance for those affected by the events of September 11, 2001 and raises funds to support patients and veterans served by the Shepherd Center.
The race distance is 5 km. Proceeds support the Shepherd Center mission, including the SHARE Military Initiative, which provides rehabilitation services for service members with traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress from the Afghanistan and Iraqi conflicts. Other recipient programs include donor-funded housing for patient families, recreational therapy, ASW and related services.
Event services include family-oriented activities and on-site food provided by veterans, including barbecue, hot dogs, hamburgers and cold beverages. Packet pickup is available at Road Runner Sports, 3756 Roswell Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30342 on September 5, and at the venue on race day.
Registration opens February 4, 2026 and closes September 10, 2026; the listed registration fee is $35.00. Participants are encouraged to use parking on the north end of Chastain Park near the amphitheatre, swimming pool and Galloway School, then walk along Powers Ferry Road or use the event shuttle.
