Royal Marines Band Service Half Marathon 2026
Organised by the Royal Marines Athletics Association, the Royal Marines Band Service half marathon takes place on Monday 28 September 2026 in Exeter at Countess Wear Beefeater, 398 Topsham Road. The event returns to Devon for its sixth year and is hosted by the CTC band.
The course is an out and back route along the River Exe and is described as pancake flat. The route starts at Exeter Universitys Nicholas Bull Boathouse and follows the river to a turnaround in Starcross where public toilet facilities are available.
Runners pass riverside scenery and wildlife along the way. The route goes past the grounds of Powederham Castle and runners may see a range of local birds and deer in the surrounding area.
The event is in person and free parking is available at the venue. Registration, a race brief and a race start are part of the event schedule.
