Royal Family Superhero Fun Run, 5K, 10K : Kennewick, WA
The event on June 26, 2027, is a set of community races organized to raise funds for Royal Family Kids, Pasco, a ministry that runs a resident summer camp for foster children. Registration fees for each race are used to help pay the way for foster children to attend camp and experience supervised activities, relationships with trained adults, and a week of positive social and recreational events.
Races begin at the Columbia Park Bandshell at the east end of Columbia Park near the Playground of Dreams in Kennewick and run west along the river toward Richland. All courses are out-and-back. Aid stations with water and Gatorade are located at the turnaround points for the one-mile, 5K, and 10K.
On-site activities at the start/finish area include food truck vendors, face painting, balloon making, and music. Participants are welcome to wear superhero costumes; the one-mile event features superhero training and a costume contest. Awards and recognition are given to the top three finishers in each gender for all events, and 10K finishers receive a medal at the finish.
