Royal Beast 12 Hour Run/Walk/Relay - Southeastway Park, New Palestine
The Royal Beast is a 12-hour endurance event offering solo and relay team options on two course surfaces. Participants choose between a dirt trail or a paved trail that run through woodsy Southeastway Park. The course is described as a loop of about 1 to 2 miles.
Solo competitors attempt as many loops as they can during the 12-hour period. Relay teams alternate who runs and when, and teams may choose to use the dirt loop or the paved loop. Registration includes a unique finisher's medal and an ultra soft tech shirt, plus a visible countdown clock and a scrolling screen that displays loop totals.
Awards are given to top solo finishers with named King and Queen titles and additional male and female overall placings. Team trophies are awarded for first through third place. Event amenities listed include a DJ, light snacks and water, pizza at the post-event awards celebration, and an open bar for participants aged 21 and over with nonalcoholic root beer available for others.
