Roxbury Community Benefit 5k Race
The Roxbury Community Benefit 5k Race is a community road race hosted by the Morris County Striders running club and the Roxbury Recreation Department at the Horseshoe Lake Recreation Complex on Eyland Avenue in Succasunna, New Jersey. The event features a single distance of 5K and is scheduled for June 2026.
The course is a USATF NJ certified loop (certification number NJ23011JLW). It is described as a flat loop course and is assigned 500 points in the USATF NJ P Grand Prix.
Pre-entry pricing is listed as follows: Non USATF NJ member $30.00; USATF member $27.00; Roxbury residents $27.00. Family pricing covers parents and dependent children for $105.00 for up to four family members, with $25.00 for each additional family member. Packet pickup and race day registration take place on the grounds of the Horseshoe Lake Recreation Complex by Imagination Station and begin in the late afternoon.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and across age divisions including 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, five year age groups through 80-84, and 85 and over. Corporate, club, and family team competitions run in men, women, and coed divisions; teams must pre-register, top three scorers count, and family entries cover parents and dependent children only.
Post race provisions include pizza, ice cream, water, Gatorade, a live DJ, and random prize raffles from local merchants. Net proceeds benefit local charities and nonprofit organizations connected to Roxbury. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
