Rowlett Holiday 5K & Fun Run
This event is a community holiday 5K and fun run supporting the local Rowlett cross country team. It takes place at Rowlett High School, 4700 President George Bush Highway, Rowlett TX 75088, on December 12, 2026.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run: 3.1 miles
- Kids and Adult Fun Run Power Walk: 1K
Every 5K participant receives a finisher medal. Awards in the 5K are given to the top three male and top three female overall finishers and in the following age groups: 18 and under, 19 to 30, 31 to 45, 46 to 60, and 61 and older. Registration categories listed by the organizer include race entries and a shirt only option.
Shirt details and deadlines are specified by the organizer. Registrants who register by December 1 are guaranteed a selected shirt size; later registrants may receive shirts while supplies last. The shirts are red Sport Tek Performance Competitor long sleeve dri fit tees with sponsor printing on the back in white ink.
The course combines concrete and field surfaces and includes some narrow sections. Strollers are not recommended and pets are not allowed on the courses. The route is an out and back that starts on the high school campus and goes through the Pecan Grove Park trail behind the recreation center. Parking is available at the rear of Rowlett High School with limited parking in front near President George Bush Turnpike. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
