Rowan Glen Run the Risk 10k
The Rowan Glen Run the Risk is a road race organised by Galloway Harriers and scheduled for Sunday 27 September 2026 at Newton Stewart Golf Club. The event is a 10 km road race with chip timing and a mainly tarmac, undulating course. There is no cut off time.
Online bookings cost £10 and include chip timing, first aid cover, a well marshalled route, limited parking and toilet facilities, water provision at the finish, and a medal for all finishers. Trophies will be awarded for first male and first female overall, and for first local male and female (DG8 postcode). The event is sponsored by Rowan Glen.
Entries close at midnight on Thursday 24 September 2026 or earlier if the field reaches capacity. Total places are limited to 100. No refunds are given after entry. There may be entries available on the day at £10, but these cannot be guaranteed if capacity is exceeded.
Registration takes place in the clubhouse at Newton Stewart Golf Club where competitors collect race numbers and timing chips, use toilet facilities, and may leave bags at their own risk. Refreshments are available from the Golf Club. Runners must be at least 16 years old and are respectfully requested not to wear headphones during the race.
