Event details
The Route 66 10K is a road race held in Edwardsville, IL, on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Hosted by the Metro Milers running club, the race is part of the City of Edwardsville's Route 66 Festival and is staged at City Park. The event program includes the main 10K race and a separate Route 66 10K Tune-Up Training & Race. Entry fees listed are $35 for the 10K and $275 for the Tune-Up program, with prices scheduled to increase after December 31, 2025. A portion of proceeds supports local not-for-profit organizations and community fitness promotion.
Logistics and rules
Registered in-person participants receive a Leslie Jordan brand technical shirt and an additional finisher swag item; virtual participants will have finish items mailed. The race uses bib tag timing with the timing chip affixed to the back of the bib. Hydration stops along the course will offer water and Gatorade. Age-group awards in five-year bins and overall awards (including Overall Masters 40+) will be given to in-person finishers only. Packet pick-up options include a Friday window (noon to 6:00 PM, location TBD) and a Saturday pick-up at City Park at the Metro Milers tent. Registration is final with no refunds; organizers may close registration for capacity or delay or cancel the event for extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances. The use of pets, baby joggers/strollers, in-line skates, bicycles, and other non-official wheeled vehicles is prohibited on the course.
Series
The race is included in the Goshen Triple Crown Series, a three-race series in the Edwardsville and Glen Carbon area that awards a series finishers medal to participants who complete all three events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
