Route 66 10K - Edwardsville, IL

The Route 66 10K is organized by the Metro Milers running club and takes place in Edwardsville as part of the City of Edwardsville's Route 66 Festival. The 2026 edition is scheduled for June 13, 2026 and includes the main 10 km race plus the Route 66 10K Tune-Up Training & Race.

Registration options appear for both the standalone 10K and a Tune-Up package. The standard 10K entry fee is shown as $40 and the Tune-Up package as $280; the Tune-Up has an earlier registration deadline and the general price increases after May 31. Organizers may close registration if capacity is reached and may delay or cancel the event for extreme weather. All registrations are final with no refunds.

Packet pick-up is available Friday (noon to 6:00 PM) at a location to be announced and on Saturday at the Metro Milers tent at City Park. Packets include the race bib and timing chip; a designated person may pick up a packet on another registrant's behalf.

Race operations include bib tag timing with a timing chip affixed to the back of the bib, hydration stations offering water and Gatorade, and live results provided by Final Lap Racing. In-person finishers receive a Leslie Jordan technical shirt and an additional finisher item. Age group awards in five-year bins and top-three awards in multiple overall and age categories are given to in-person participants. A portion of event funds supports local not-for-profit organizations and efforts to promote physical fitness in the Metro East. When eligible, the race has served as the RRCA Championship 10K.
