Round Sheffield Run
The Round Sheffield Run is a multi-stage trail running enduro held in Sheffield. The event takes place over a weekend at Endcliffe Park and follows a unique format consisting of 11 timed stages. These stages link together 20 km of trails and parkland within a total route distance of 24.5 km.
Participants can enter the event as individuals or in pairs. The course is designed as a scenic journey through the city's green spaces, where only specific sections are timed. Between these timed stages, runners can walk or jog to the next start point, allowing for a social atmosphere where groups can regroup and recharge. Timing is managed using a SPORTident timing dibber, and competitors receive results for each individual stage as well as a cumulative overall time upon completion.
The event offers several categories and features:
- 20 km of timed trails within a 24.5 km total route
- Individual or pair entry options
- Elite wave for runners meeting specific qualifying times
- Course support and refreshment stations
- Post-race party featuring live music and food vendors
The route is accessible to various abilities due to the stage-based format. Participants receive a finisher's medal, and optional race photography is provided. Registration requires a minimum age of 15. The event spans two days, and final results are compiled from both Saturday and Sunday participants.
