Rotherby 8
Rotherby 8 is the final race of the Leicestershire road race league held on Sunday 4 October 2026. This is the sixth running of the event and it uses a rolling, undulating road course of 8 miles around villages in the Wreake Valley.
The course starts and finishes at Rotherby Lodge Farm and passes through Gaddesby and Ashby Folville, including sections on Gaddesby Lane, Park Hill, Ashby Road, Ashby Folville Road, Pasture Lane and Rotherby Lane before returning to the farm. The route description notes a bridge crossing and a reversal of the outward route back to the finish.
Facilities at the start and finish include free parking, toilets and refreshments, with water available on the route. Prizes are listed as available with details to be confirmed. The event holds a certificate of course accuracy 21/104 and RunEvents licence number 31678.
Entry information and conditions: the event has a maximum of 650 entrants, a minimum age of 16 years, and entries close on 27/09/2026. Transfers are permitted up to 45 minutes before the race start and must be made in person on the day. No headphones of any type are allowed on the course; wearing headphones may lead to disqualification. Access to the start/finish field is from Gaddesby Lane, with exit onto the A607, and parts of Gaddesby Lane and Rotherby Lane will be closed for the first two miles of the race.
