About the race
Rotherby 8 is an 8-mile road race held in rural Leicestershire, taking runners through the villages of the Wreake Valley. The course starts at Rotherby Lodge Farm on Gaddesby Lane, heads through Gaddesby and Ashby Folville before returning to the farm to finish on the access track. It is a rolling, undulating route run on road and pavement, celebrated for its countryside views.
The event is part of the Leicestershire Road Running League and, in 2025, serves as its final race. Facilities include free parking, toilets, refreshments, and water on route; notable features include a course accuracy certificate and a no-headphones rule.
