45th Annual Rotary Ramble 5K Run or Run/Walk
The event is a 5-kilometer running event held in DeMotte, Indiana, with a course described as relatively flat and open to participants of various ages and experience levels. The starting area is located just north of the DeMotte Public Library, behind DeMotte Elementary School. Packet pickup and onsite registration are planned at DeMotte Elementary School the evening before and the morning of the event.
Multiple registration options and price tiers are provided. Early online rates include a no t-shirt option and a with-t-shirt option, and a family rate is available for a child aged 14 and under with a paid adult. A late online window changes the online rates. Mail registrations must be postmarked by early August to meet the mailed entry deadline. Onsite registration and packet pickup have a higher fee and do not guarantee t-shirt sizes; onsite payment is accepted by cash or check only.
There will be no separate walking category for this year; walkers may register under the open category. High school cross country athletes may compete only if they have the required waiver. The event is sponsored by the DeMotte KV Rotary, a chapter of Rotary International, whose activities include promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water and sanitation, supporting mothers and children, and supporting education and local economies.
