About the race
Roosey Relays is the second annual cross-country meet held at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, CA. The program includes a community open race, a three-person community relay, and multiple high school races including varsity and junior varsity relays. The event operates under a floating schedule; a final schedule is posted 24 to 48 hours in advance. Awards for top finishers and top relays are presented at the podium on the infield.
The course is 1.5 miles and runs entirely on the high school campus. The route leaves the track finish line, follows a service road into the student parking area, passes the STEM Academy and the campus quad, goes by the swim and tennis facilities, and returns into the stadium for a photo finish or baton exchange.
Distances:
- 1.5 miles individual (one lap)
- 4.5 miles team relay total (three laps)
Entry and meet logistics are managed through team coaches. Schools may enter up to two varsity relay teams (A and B). Each cross-country program receives one free coach entry. Entry pricing notes include a listed individual and team rate for alumni and staff, and team fees for coaches to submit. Packet pickup and a coaches corner are located near the STEM building. Athlete check-in is at a tent by the shot put staging area. Only competing athletes and volunteers are allowed on the infield turf. Spectators may use the stadium and are asked to avoid the marked course areas. Merchandise and food will be available on site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
