Event Overview
The Live Oak Odyssey is a fixed time trail running event held at O'Neill Regional Park in Trabuco Canyon, California. The race takes place on a 2.75 mile (approximately 2.78 mile) circular loop through Trabuco and Live Oak Canyons. Participants can choose between three different time durations to complete as many laps as possible within the limit.
The course features a variety of terrain including single track, double track, uphills, and downhills. Each loop includes approximately 500 feet of vertical gain, reaching a maximum elevation of 1,349 feet. The landscape consists of wooded areas with coast live oak and sycamore trees, while the surrounding hillsides are populated with cactus, sagebrush, and mountain mahogany.

Logistics and Amenities
The event provides one major aid station located at the start and finish line. This station offers water, electrolytes, and a variety of snacks such as fruit, PB&J, and salty items. Runners must complete full loops for them to be counted toward their total distance. Once a participant checks out of the race, they cannot return to add more loops.
Registration includes a gender-specific race shirt, chip-timed results, and a finisher medal. Top overall male and female winners receive custom awards. Parking is available at O'Neill Regional Park for a fee, and camping can be reserved onsite. The course is marked with pink ribbons to guide participants.
