Event overview
Live Oak Odyssey is a fixed-time trail running event held in O'Neill Regional Park in Trabuco Canyon, CA on November 14, 2026. The event offers two timed options: a 3-hour run and a 6-hour run. The appointed location is 30892 Trabuco Canyon Road in Trabuco Canyon.
Registration opens January 15, 2026.
Course and terrain
The course is a 2.75-mile loop with approximately 500 feet of vertical gain per loop. The park is heavily wooded with coast live oak and sycamore trees. Surrounding hillsides feature cactus, wild buckwheat, sagebrush and chaparral, including scrub oak, buckthorn and mountain mahogany. The route includes uphills, downhills, single track and double track sections.
From the start/finish the described route follows Arroyo Trabuco Trail, turns right onto a paved road to Live Oak Trail (about 1.3 miles), then right onto Coyote Canyon Trail for about 0.5 mile before continuing onto Coyote Trail to loop back. The course will be marked with orange and black polka dot ribbons.
