The 44th Annual Roosa Gap Roller Coaster Runs takes place on September 27, 2026, in Wurtsboro, New York. The event is hosted at the Mamakating First Aid and Rescue Squad and includes road and towpath courses that pass local valley landmarks.

The 11.8 mile run starts at the First Aid Squad building, heads up the mountain toward Bloomingburg, follows a hairpin, turns left onto Shawanga Lodge Road, continues toward the firetower, then returns along the same course to the finish. Due to ongoing drainage issues, the long run uses an altered road route rather than the trail route used in earlier years; this change is for competitor safety.
The 5K Run and 5K Walk follow a flat, scenic out and back course along the D&H Canal Tow Path. A virtual 5K option is also listed.
Registration opens May 4, 2026 and closes August 30, 2026. The listed registration fee is $30. Race day registration is available on the morning of the event. All registrations and donations are final and non-refundable, including in cases of injury or illness. Proceeds support a memorial scholarship fund.
