Roopville Hornet 5K
The Roopville Hornet 5K is held at Roopville Elementary School in Roopville, GA, on September 19, 2026. The certified course (GA21017WC) runs through scenic rolling hills and pasture lands near downtown and serves as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Proceeds benefit the Roopville Elementary School PTO.

The 5K charges a registration fee of $20, with a student rate of $15 for ages 1–17 applied at online checkout. The children's event, Dash to the Finish, is about a 1/4 mile for Pre-K through fifth grade and carries a separate fee. Packet pickup is available the Friday before the race at the school and on race day. Race shirts are provided to pre-registered 5K runners; registrations by 8/22/2026 are guaranteed a shirt. Local vendors include Pelican's Sno Balls and a food truck.
Awards for the 5K use chip timing and include age-division prizes for male and female runners in standard age brackets and overall male and female awards by gun time. Dash to the Finish awards top three finishers and ribbons for all participants. Race day parking is available behind the elementary school.
