Roopville Hornet 5K
The event takes place on September 19, 2026 at Roopville Elementary School in Roopville, Georgia. It includes a certified 5K race on a course that runs through rolling hills and pasture lands near downtown Roopville. Proceeds benefit the Roopville Elementary School PTO.

Registration fees are listed per event: the 5K fee is $20.00 with an automatic student price of $15 applied during online checkout for ages 1 to 17; the Dash to the Finish fee is $13.00; the shirt-only option is $25.00. Participants who pre-register by August 22, 2026 are guaranteed a race shirt. Packet pickup is available the Friday before the event at the elementary school and on race day at the school. Race day parking is available behind the elementary school.
The 5K course is USATF certified (GA21017WC) and serves as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Awards in the 5K are given by male and female age divisions and by top overall finishers; awards are based on chip timing. The Dash to the Finish gives awards to the top three and ribbons to all participants. The event includes food vendors and prize drawings. Activities proceed rain or shine and registrations are considered donations to the RES PTO; no refunds are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
