Born to be Wild : overview
Born to be Wild takes place on January 31, 2026 at McGuffy Nature Center, Coweta County Fairgrounds, 275 Pine Road, Newnan, GA 30263. The event is organized by Sole Roots Racing in partnership with Coweta County and the Southern Conservation Trust. Proceeds support conservation advocacy, land conservation, and wildlife protection in the local community. The event features a mascot named Flint the River Otter who may appear at the finish area.

Entry fees listed are $20 for the Fun Run, $35 for the 5K, and $45 for the 10K; the 5K and 10K fees increase after December 15, 2025. Participants who register by January 23, 2026 are guaranteed an event T-shirt. Each registered child may choose either a Flint otter plushie or an event T-shirt.
Parking and packet pickup are provided on race day. An awards ceremony is scheduled for the late morning. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers and to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in these age groups: 10 & under; 11-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+; plus Masters 40+.
