Romp & Stomp 5K
Romp & Stomp 5K is a community road race in Atlanta that takes place on November 7, 2026. The course runs through historic Cabbagetown and is described as flat and fast. The race start is on Carroll Street in front of Milltown Tavern.
The event is a lead in to the Cabbagetown Chomp & Stomp Chili Cookoff and Bluegrass Festival. All participants receive a long sleeved T shirt and a chili tasting spoon for the festival. Proceeds benefit the Cabbagetown Initiative CDC, the nonprofit that maintains nearby parks and the community center.
Entry details list an early registration fee of $35, with increases later in the registration period. There is no race day registration and the event has sold out for the last 20 years; it is expected to sell out in 2026.
The event includes a Run Club Championship open to active running clubs. The top three times from each of three divisions, men, women, and non binary, are tallied to determine the fastest club. The winner in each division receives a year long trophy.
Runners and walkers register in the same category. Participants running with dogs or strollers are asked to start behind other runners, and dogs are not allowed at the festival. Packet pickup is available at Cabbagetown Community Center and Cabbagetown Park on the days before the race, with race morning number pickup at Milltown Tavern.
