Romero Run
The Romero Run is a charity event taking place on the coast at Goring-by-Sea, West Sussex. The race headquarters and parking are located at St Oscar Romero Catholic School. This event supports local causes, with proceeds going to Friends of Romero and the Goring-by-Sea C of E Primary School Parent Support Association.
The course is described as fast and flat, featuring three temporary crossing points. Participants run on a variety of surfaces, including roads, pavements, coastal trails, and through a wooded area known as The Plantation. Individual distances include:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 3 km (Children’s Run)
A relay team race may also be included in the event schedule. Registered participants can collect their race numbers on the day of the event. All runners in the 5 km and 10 km categories receive medals and access to free event photos. The run is open to all, including those attempting a 5 km distance for the first time. For students of the host school, participation involves representing their specific school houses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
