Romero Run : Goring-by-Sea, Worthing
The Romero Run is a charity running event on Sunday 21st June 2026, organised by Raw Energy Pursuits and based at Oscar Romero School (Goring-by-Sea, Worthing, BN12 5AF). The event is held on coastal roads and trails and uses a generally flat course with sections on pavements, coastal paths and a tree-lined avenue known as The Plantation. The course includes three temporary crossing points.
Distances include:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- Children's run for 6–13 years (approximately 2.5–3 km) around the school grounds
Entry fees listed by the organiser are: 5 km £17, 5 km junior (12–15 years) £8, 10 km £22, children’s run £6. Race numbers are collected on the day. Medals and free photos are provided for all 5 km and 10 km finishers. Course maps and lap details are available for the 10 km, 5 km and the playing-field lap; a mini mile course is noted as to be confirmed.
The children’s school-ground race is part of a three-race series with events at Findon and Ferring. All event proceeds go to Friends of Romero (Registered Charity 1053384). Parking and race headquarters are at Oscar Romero School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
