Rombalds Stride 2026
Rombalds Stride takes place on 7 February 2026 in Guiseley, Leeds. The event is a trail walk/run of 23 miles starting and finishing in Guiseley. The route passes through Esholt, Baildon, Ilkley, Burley Woodhead and Menston, and includes Rombalds Moor, Ilkley Moor and Otley Chevin. The course is hilly and runs once around the full route. The organiser is the 15th Airedale Scout Group. Race HQ is at 15th Airedale Scout HQ, LS20 9BT.
Course, facilities and safety
The event has an entry limit of 550 and listed remaining places of 120. It is not suitable for wheelchairs. Water stations and refreshments are provided along the route. There are no distance markers. Toilets are available at the start and finish only. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. The organisers will email a route description and map references and aim to make a GPX file available close to the event.
Entry and additional information
Minimum age is 18, or 12 for members of the Scout or Guide association (group name and district required on entry). Entry fees range from £23.00 to £40.00 depending on membership and T-shirt options. Entry on the day is not available. The organisers run a T-shirt design competition; submissions must be single colour on A4 and be received by 30 October for consideration.
