Rombalds Stride 2027
Rombalds Stride takes place on Saturday 6th February 2027 and is a long distance trail event centred on Guiseley, Leeds. The route is 23 Miles long, runs in a single lap and follows paths over open moorland and hills. The course passes through Esholt, Baildon, Ilkley, Burley Woodhead and Menston, and includes Rombalds Moor, Ilkley Moor and Otley Chevin. The event is listed as a trail with a hilly profile and the race licence is not applicable. It is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Toilets will be available at the start and finish and refreshments will be provided at checkpoints along the route. There are no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. The race headquarters is at the 15th Airedale Scout HQ LS20 9BT. Organisers ask participants to bring a cup to reduce plastic use at checkpoints and note that they cannot guarantee against cross contamination at checkpoint food.
Entry is limited to 550 places with 212 places remaining at the time of listing. Entry fees vary by category, with standard and concession prices and optional T shirt choices. Entry on the day is not available. Minimum age is 18 unless a member of the Scout or Guide association, in which case the minimum age is 12 and group details must be provided. Route maps and map references will be emailed and a GPX file may be provided close to the event. A single colour A4 T shirt design may be submitted by 30th October for a prize of free entry and a shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
