About the race
The Roman Rumble 5K is the 31st annual running event in Rome, Georgia, held on October 17, 2026 at Ridge Ferry Park near 393 Riverside Pkwy NE, Rome, GA 30161. The event includes multiple distances and a short youth trot for children.
The 5K is a USATF certified out-and-back course along the Oostanaula River Trails and serves as a qualifying event for the AJC Peachtree Road Race. The start and finish area is located near the Dog Park side of Ridge Ferry Park, north of the railroad tracks. Parking is available near the start and finish area.

Timing for the 5K and 1 Mile is by RFID chip on the race bib provided in race packets. Awards are presented during a ceremony and include overall top finishers, masters and grandmasters, age group medals, and championship awards for the Northwest Georgia 5K title. Race shirts are provided to participants and shirt size is guaranteed for registrations completed by October 11. Packet pickup is available the day before the event at GoGo Running, 1018 Martha Berry Blvd NE, Rome, GA. Proceeds support Harbor House and its mission to evaluate and protect children, encourage agency collaboration, and reduce trauma. The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine.
