Turkey Shuffle - Dallas
The Turkey Shuffle - Dallas is an autumn running event scheduled for November in Dallas, Texas. The race takes place across local parks and greenbelts, utilizing a variety of surfaces including paved trails, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Professional photography and a live DJ are provided to document the event and maintain atmosphere throughout the morning.
Participants can choose from several event distances:
- 10k Run (6.22 miles) - chip timed
- 5k Run (3.11 miles) - chip timed
- 1 Mile Run - not chip timed
- Kids Dash - approximately 50 meters for ages 10 and under
- Virtual Run - remote participation option
The event includes a festive costume contest focused on Thanksgiving themes. Winners of the contest, as well as top finishers in the timed races, are eligible for awards and trophies. Finishers in all categories receive a medal and a commemorative shirt, provided registration occurs before the specified shirt guarantee deadline.
Aid stations are positioned along the course to provide water and assistance. On-site facilities include a race rally tent with snacks and refreshments available after the finish.
