Carrollton "Tails & Trails" 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
This community run takes place in Carrollton at the Josey Ranch Athletic Complex on June 6, 2026. The event includes a 5K and a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk along local hike-and-bike trails and benefits Carrollton Animal Services & Adoption Center.
Distances:
- 5K run (timed)
- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk (untimed)
The 5K is a timed race with awards presented to overall male and female winners and to the top three finishers in each age category: 10 and under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and over. The fun run/walk is not timed and does not receive awards. A post-race celebration will include the awards presentation and music.
Packet pickup is scheduled at Rosemeade Recreation Center on June 4 and June 5. Runners who register for the 5K by June 1 are guaranteed a race T-shirt, race bag, and timing chip. All participants will receive a race bag. Any registration changes made after June 1 incur a $5 fee.
Registration fees are listed separately for Carrollton residents and non-residents; group registration is available for up to six people. Donations of pet food, non-clumping kitty litter, and cleaning supplies are accepted at Carrollton Animal Services and recreation facilities.
