Summer Meltdown Half Marathon at Sam Houston Trail Park

Distances offered:
- Kids Dash - about 20 yards; for ages 10 and under; not timed; shirt and medal.
- 1 Mile - all ages; not chip timed; includes shirt and medal.
- 5K - 3.11 miles; chip timed; 1st overall trophies; masters pins; age group awards.
- Quarter Marathon - 6.55 miles; chip timed; Bigfoot trophies; masters pins; age group awards.
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles; chip timed; Bigfoot trophies; masters pins; age group awards.
- Volunteer then Run - custom chip timed bib, tee, finisher medal; run the 5K after volunteering.
- Virtual Run - 13.1 miles; virtual participation option.
Course and services are described as park and green belt settings with mixed surfaces that may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. A DJ will provide music and announcements during the event. Results and awards are posted at the registration tent immediately after finishers arrive. Youth pricing and referral refunds are specified for certain entries. Packet pickup is offered in the 90 minutes before the event and the shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event. Volunteers check in at the registration tent approximately 90 minutes before the start and may choose from a range of roles with various position ratings and benefits.
