Rodeo Run
Rodeo Run presented by ConocoPhillips takes place on February 27, 2027, and benefits the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The event features multiple race options and precedes the Downtown Rodeo Parade. The course starts at the corner of Walker and Bagby and finishes on Allen Parkway near Eleanor Tinsley Park, where a post-race party is held.
Available race options include:
- Wheelchair race
- 5K
- 10K
- Sleep-In registration and donor options
The wheelchair race requires brakes and helmets and excludes hand crank or cycle wheelchairs. Runners may elect to register with a qualifying time for Corral A; Corral A provides a clear-course start for faster competitors and has qualification requirements. 5K runners placed in Corral A are only eligible for Overall and Masters 5K awards, not age-group awards. All finishers receive a medal; trophies are awarded for Overall, Masters, and top age-division finishers in the 5K and 10K.
Packet pickup is available at Kroger, 1035 North Shepherd Drive, Houston, with multiple scheduled dates before the event; packets may also be mailed for an additional fee if requested by the stated deadline. Public parking garages in downtown Houston and the Theater District serve participants and parade viewers; expect separate garage fees. Certain items and activities are prohibited for safety, including roller skates, skateboards, scooters, and dogs, and jogging strollers are permitted only in the 5K with specific staging instructions.
