Event overview
The 2026 Rodeo Run, presented by ConocoPhillips, takes place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in downtown Houston, TX. Proceeds benefit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The route starts at the corner of Walker and Bagby and finishes on Allen Parkway near Eleanor Tinsley Park. A post-race party is held at Eleanor Tinsley Park.

Participation, registration and packet pickup
Early bird registration is $40 and ends January 12, 2026; regular registration increases after that date. Sleep-In registration is priced at $50. Registration closes on February 27, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. Packet pickup can be mailed for an additional fee or picked up in person on assigned dates. Official in-person packet pickup location and dates include Kroger, 1035 North Shepherd Drive, Houston, TX, on specified days in late February and on race day.
Rules, timing and logistics
All finishers receive a medal. 5K and 10K runners may enter a qualifying time to be placed in Corral A; 5K runners in Corral A are only eligible for Overall and Masters awards, not age-group awards. 5K participants must clear the first mile within 15 minutes of the start; all 10K participants must complete the route within two hours. Public parking garages in downtown and the Theater District are available; parking fees may apply. Roller skates, Heelys, skateboards, scooters and similar items are prohibited; headphones are discouraged for safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
