Rodeo Run

Rodeo Run presented by ConocoPhillips raises funds for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The event precedes the Downtown Rodeo Parade and includes a wheelchair race plus multiple timed and untimed run events. The course begins at the corner of Walker and Bagby and finishes on Allen Parkway near Eleanor Tinsley Park where a post-race area and runner meet-up tent are located.

Participation options include in-person race entries, a Sleep In option that provides an official performance shirt without a finisher medal, and donor contributions of any amount. Race entries include a bib with timing chip, a performance shirt, and a finisher medal for race participants. Entries are non-refundable and registration fees support the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Logistics and rules cover packet pickup at an assigned Kroger location or on race day, public parking garages in downtown Houston and the Theater District (fees may apply), and team packet pickup for groups of four or more. Safety and participation policies state no animals, no roller skates Heelys skateboards or scooters, and jogging strollers are permitted only in the 5K and must line up behind other 5K participants. The event operates rain or shine; unsafe weather may result in cancellation and fees treated as donations.

All finishers receive a medal. Trophies are awarded for Overall Masters and age divisions with most category trophies mailed after results are final. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
