About the race
Rodeo Run presented by ConocoPhillips is a fundraising road race that benefits the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The event includes a wheelchair race and multiple running options, with the course starting at the corner of Walker and Bagby and finishing on Allen Parkway near Eleanor Tinsley Park where a post-race party is held.
Distances and options:
- Wheelchair race
- 5K
- 10K
- Corral A for runners who enter qualifying times
- Sleep-In registration and donor-only options
All finishers receive a medal. Trophies are awarded to overall male and female winners in the 5K, 10K and wheelchair divisions, to Masters male and female in the 5K and 10K, and to the top three male and female finishers in each age division for the 5K and 10K. Corral A provides a clear starting position for runners who submitted qualifying times; 5K runners in Corral A are eligible only for Overall and Masters awards, not age-group awards.
Event services include packet pickup on assigned dates at a Kroger location and mailed packet options for an added fee. The Sleep-In option receives an official event shirt but not a finisher medal. The event is rain or shine; if conditions are unsafe the entry fee will be treated as a donation. Certain items and equipment are prohibited for safety.
