Steps for Students

Steps for Students is an annual fundraiser that benefits the 56 Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The event is scheduled for February 13, 2027, in Houston at 1700 San Jacinto St. Activities on the day include a Sunrise Mass, a sanctioned 5K race, and a post-race party in the Catholic School Village. In 2026 more than 10,000 people registered and the event raised over $1,100,000 to support the schools.

Race and participation options include distances and formats for runners, a family fun run, and a nonrunning support option. The nonrunning option provides the official race t-shirt but does not include a bib or race medal. The program also supports school fundraising efforts and volunteer roles such as Steps Ambassadors at parishes.

• 1 Mile Family 1K Fun Run
• 3.1 Miles Hit the Snooze supporter option
