Rocky's Run for Freedom returns to Miamisburg's Veterans Memorial Park (formerly Library Park) on May 23, 2026. The event offers an in-person 5k and a virtual 5k run/walk.

Early bird entry for the in-person 5k is $25 for registrations completed by May 10; the last day to register with a guaranteed shirt is May 10 and prices increase after that date. A discounted $25 entry for participants under 18 is applied automatically based on birthdate. Virtual entries include an additional $10 to cover shirt shipping; virtual registration closes on May 23.
Beneficiaries for 2026 are to be determined. Past beneficiaries have included City of Miamisburg - Veterans Memorial Park, Warrior Weekend to Remember - Blue Skies for Good Guys & Gals Warrior Foundation, and Uriah's Trust.
The event is hosted by a local family in honor of their son who grew up in Miamisburg and was lost while serving his country. The start location is about a half mile walk from the finish area.
Age-group awards are listed for the following divisions: 14 and under; 15 to 19; 20 to 29; 30 to 39; 40 to 49; 50 to 59; 60 to 69; 70 to 79; 80 and up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
