The Rocky Gap Off-Road Triathlon, Duathlon, Aqua Bike, and Relay takes place on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Rocky Gap State Park in Flintstone, MD (12500 Pleasant Valley Road, 21530). This is the 22nd annual running of the event. The program includes four entry types: Triathlon, Triathlon Relay, Duathlon, and Duathlon Relay. Registration opens December 28, 2025. Course details
The triathlon course begins with a two-lap swim in a mountain lake. The duathlon begins with a semi-technical trail run of 2.7 miles. After the initial segment, all racers complete two laps of a mountain bike course that features twisty lakeside singletrack, wide fire roads, smooth grassy sections, and several rock gardens. After the bike laps, racers transition to a final run of 5.5 miles on trails that include rooty sections, smooth open flats, and some uphill and downhill segments.
