Rockwall Kiwanis Tri Rock Triathlon
The Rockwall Kiwanis Tri Rock Triathlon is a USA Triathlon sanctioned sprint triathlon at J.E.R. Chilton YMCA at Rockwall, 1210 North Goliad Street, Rockwall, TX 75087. The event uses a pool swim, a measured bike course, and a measured run course.
Distances:
- 150 yards pool swim, indoor snake swim, numerical start order
- 10 miles bike course
- 5K run course
This is a chip timed event. Timing chips are assigned by bib number and are picked up race morning at the timing station. Body marking is required before entering the transition area. Only participants and event staff are allowed inside transition; bikes must be racked when the transition area opens and may not be removed until protocol allows.
Eligibility and rules: minimum age to participate is 13. The event requires a USA Triathlon annual membership or a one-day license for nonmembers and enforces USA Triathlon multisport rules. Relay teams may consist of two or three members who share one timing chip and one race number; each team member must have their own USAT membership or one-day license.
Awards and items: age group awards are three deep, with additional awards for overall, masters, grand masters, weight classes, and relays. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Participants registered by July 10th are guaranteed a race t-shirt.
A virtual race option is available; virtual participants receive a t-shirt and finisher medal by mail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
