About the race
The City of Murphy presents two community running events on December 5, 2026, at Murphy Central Park in Murphy, Texas (550 N Murphy Road, 75094). The program includes short and standard distances for families and individual participants.
Distances offered:
- 3.1 Miles Jingle Jog 5K
- 1 Mile Reindeer Dash
The Jingle Jog 5K is a timed race with awards for 1st to 3rd overall male and female. The Reindeer Dash is an untimed, family-friendly mile; parents who are registered for the 5K may accompany their child(ren) in the Reindeer Dash. Finisher medals are available to a limited number of early finishers and require participants to wear their assigned bib to be eligible.
Registration opens October 1, 2026. Registration closes November 26, 2026 for the 5K and closes on December 5, 2026 for the Reindeer Dash. Listed registration fees are $35.00 for the Jingle Jog 5K and $20.00 for the Reindeer Dash.
Each registered participant receives an official race shirt, a jingle bell, and race photos linked to the participant bib number. A portion of registration fees will benefit the Murphy Chamber Scholarship Foundation to support local student scholarships. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
