Rocktown Adventure Race
The Rocktown Adventure Race takes place at the Massanutten Resort in the Shenandoah Valley, near Harrisonburg, Virginia. This event is a sanctioned USARA Series race, allowing participants to earn points toward national rankings. The course utilizes the single-track trails of the resort and the surrounding natural landscape.
Participants can choose between two primary durations:
- 5 Hour: Includes mountain biking, trekking, and ropes sections.
- 30 Hour: Includes mountain biking, trekking, paddling, and ropes sections.
Both race options are open to solo racers as well as teams of two, three, or four people. The 30 Hour event features a course design with various challenges throughout the Shenandoah Valley. All participants finish at the Resort Basecamp Patio area, where food and an awards ceremony are provided. Ropes sections are coordinated as part of the specific race disciplines for both time formats.
The event base is located at the Massanutten Resort Basecamp. Registration remains open until the day before the event, though price increases occur on specific dates in April depending on the selected race duration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
