Rocktown Adventure Race : overview

The Rocktown Adventure Race takes place November 7-8, 2026 at Massanutten Resort Basecamp in Massanutten, VA. The event is part of the USARA series and awards USARA points toward national rankings. Organizers partner with local racers and organizations from Rocktown (Harrisonburg), VA.

The listed entry fee for 5 Hour events is $135 and for 30 Hour events is $315. Volunteer entries are free. Prices increase after December 31, 2025. Volunteer registration ends November 6, 2026.

Course and race format

The race format includes mountain bike and trek disciplines for both durations, with paddle added to the 30 Hour category and ropes sections included for both categories. The course uses single-track on Massanutten Resort and routes in the Shenandoah Valley. The 30 Hour course is described as having varied design and additional challenges.
