Wisconsin Lakeside Half Marathon & 5K
The Wisconsin Lakeside Half Marathon & 5K is a road race weekend centered at Winnequah Park in Monona, Wisconsin. The event concludes with a Finish Line Festival that features live music, unlimited pours of craft beer and cider, and food available from local vendors.
The half marathon follows paved paths and tree-lined streets around Lake Monona. The course offers repeated views of the Madison skyline, shaded sections beneath trees that display fall foliage, and a passage under the Frank Lloyd Wright Monona Terrace near mile six. Aid stations are provided at approximately two mile intervals.
The 5K follows paved neighborhood roads surrounding Winnequah Park. A Kid’s Half Mile Marathon for ages five to eleven stays entirely within Winnequah Park and finishes in front of spectators.
All participants receive an official race shirt and a finisher medal. Race day packet pickup is available for those who cannot collect materials earlier. The event is produced by Madison Events Production and includes volunteer-supported operations; the organizer pays ten dollars per volunteer hour to charitable organizations that provide volunteers.
