Rockets Foundation 5K
The Rockets Foundation 5K is scheduled for February 28, 2026 in Mount Carmel, Illinois. The event is based at St. Mary's Church, 417 Chestnut Street, where packet pickup and the start line are located. The program includes a community 5K run/walk and a Kids Fun Run.

Registration pricing varies by date. Entries received on or before February 9, 2026 list the Rockets 5K with a shirt for $25 and the Kids Fun Run with a shirt for $12. Entries received after February 9, 2026 list the Rockets 5K at $30 and the Kids Fun Run at $15. Shirt sizes and quantities are limited after the January 29 deadline; extra shirts are ordered and distributed as registrations arrive.
Prizes are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall for men and women in the 5K, including runners and walkers. Overall age group winners are entered into drawings for additional prizes such as a portable speaker and raffle baskets. Age groups include 1-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
The event supports school technology projects; recent goals include updating 20 iPads and providing Chromebooks for third grade. Tickets, checks, and registration forms can be mailed to the Rockets Foundation PO Box 56 Mount Carmel IL 62863 or dropped off at St. Mary's Catholic School.
