Rock4Vets 5K
Rock4Vets 5K is a community running event organized by Peoples Hospice Foundation in Pensacola, Florida. The event brings neighbors together to support veterans and other community members across Northwest Florida. Proceeds support the mission of Peoples Hospice Foundation. Funds are used for financial assistance for hospice patients, grief support programs for children and families, community outreach initiatives, educational resources, housing assistance, essential needs, and coordinated care for veterans and neighbors facing hardship. This year the event invites 100 people to participate in the R4V 250 Crew by giving or raising $250 each, with a collective goal of $25,000 to support these programs.
The event involves sponsors, volunteers, local businesses, community organizations, and veterans groups who help organize and present activities and entertainment throughout the day. Over time the 5K has become a recurring community occasion where friends and families gather and local partners provide ongoing support for area residents in need.
