Rock of Ages 5K, 10K & Half Marathon Run
The Rock of Ages run is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Marine Creek Lake in Fort Worth, TX (2700 NW Loop 820). The event offers the following distances, including virtual options:

- 10K
- Half Marathon
Rock n roll music will be played along the course and pancakes will be served at the post-race party. All in-person participants receive a commemorative race shirt and a finisher's medal.
Course, timing and rules
The 5K is an out-and-back course. The 10K is one loop around the lake with three water stations. The half marathon is two loops and includes three water stations that are passed twice. A minimum pace of 20 minutes per mile is required for the half marathon; participants who do not maintain the minimum pace may be removed from the course and returned to the finish area by course monitors.
Logistics, awards and virtual option
Packet pickup is scheduled on multiple days at local running and bike stores and on race day at the venue; anyone may pick up packets with a maximum of five packets per pickup. Awards are given three deep in each age group from 14 and under up to 80 and over, plus overall, masters and grand masters categories. There is a Best Costume Award for male and female runners. Virtual participants can complete the 5K, 10K or half marathon remotely, submit results online, and receive a shirt, medal and bib; virtual packet shipping to continental US addresses is offered.
In inclement weather the event may be delayed up to one hour, the course may be shortened or altered, or the event may be cancelled at the director's discretion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
