Rock N Wool Wine Run 5k : Poynette, WI
The event is a chip-timed 5K run/walk held at Rock N Wool Winery in Poynette, WI. The course starts and finishes at the winery and follows a two-lap, cross-country style route on grass. The route includes a loop around a pond, trails through pine trees, and sections that pass among the vines. The course is described as relatively flat and will be marked with arrows; an announcer will assist at turns.
Registration for the event includes a ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, and an on-site wine pour. Results are timed and scored by J3 Timing and will be posted online. Free race photos are available for download at the event.
Food and on-site options include lunch at the winery restaurant plus a coffee truck and a Mexican food truck. Packet pickup is available on race morning beginning one hour before the event. A virtual participation option is offered; packets can be picked up in person or shipped for an additional fee.
The event supports the Nik's Wish charity partner. Age group awards are offered by ten-year categories up to 80 and over; top finishers must start with the first wave to be eligible and awards are available for pickup at the registration table on the day of the event.
