Freedom Run, De Forest, WI
The Freedom Run is a community running event held July 4 to July 6, 2026 in De Forest, Wisconsin, with activities based at Fireman's Park. The program offers several event options on the race weekend and a virtual option for remote participation.
Events include:
- One mile fun run
- 5K run/walk
- 10K run only
- Virtual 5K/10K
Proceeds from the event are donated to the DeForest Area Needs Network and the DeForest Area High School track and cross country programs. Course maps are available for the 10K, 5K, and one mile events as downloadable PDFs.
Registration is available online until July 1 at noon. After that date, registration is in person only at packet pickup. Packet pickup is available on July 2 and July 3 at the DeForest Area High School stadium entrance, and there is morning packet pickup at Fireman's Park on the day of the event from 6:00 to 7:10am. Participant shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by June 19.
