Event information
The Rochford Half Marathon is new for 2026 and takes place on Sunday 8 February 2026 in Rochford Square, West Street, Rochford, Essex. The event distance is 13.1 miles (half marathon). Entry is limited to 500 runners and the course has a 3-hour cut-off time. The race is organised by RTC Events and JBR Run & Tri Club. Entries open on Sunday 9 November 2025.
Course and travel
The route starts and finishes in Rochford Square, then follows West Street into rural lanes through Great Stambridge and Canewdon before returning to Rochford. The course is described as mainly flat on quiet country roads with open fields and village scenes.
Rochford Train Station (postcode SS4 1AY) is opposite the registration headquarters (Parish Council Hall) and about a 2-minute walk to the start area. Train services on the Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria line serve Rochford, with direct trains approximately every 20–30 minutes and a journey time of about 55 minutes from London Liverpool Street. Nearby parking options within a short walk include Rochford Train Station Car Park (fee payable), Back Lane Car Park (free on Sunday) and Freight House Car Park (free on Sunday).
