Roc 6.19 Juneteenth 5K Run/Walk
Roc 6.19 marks the tenth annual Juneteenth 5K run and walk in Rochester, New York. The live 5K takes place at Genesee Valley Park, Riverbend Shelter, along the Genesee River. The course is USATF certified and follows winding asphalt roads with park and river views. Live registrants receive a commemorative keepsake pint mug. Post race activities include light food, water, music, community vendors, and an awards ceremony.
A virtual participation option is available through June 19, 2026. Virtual entrants can complete a 5K on their chosen date, time, and route and may use the ITSYourRace virtual app to track and submit results. A separate virtual challenge invites participants to complete either 19 miles or 19 kilometers over any time period. Virtual entries can include a variety of activities and may feature family members and pets.
Funds raised support construction of the Civil Rights Heritage Park at Baden Park and benefit local music programs. Organizers encourage fundraising teams toward a stated goal of $20,000. Race timing and live results use electronic RFID timing and real time result displays. Parking is available within the park. Registration options and fees are listed for live and virtual participation and race day packet pickup is available at the Riverbend Shelter.
