Chick-Fil-A Turkey Trot
The Robeson Road Runners present a community Turkey Trot in Lumberton, offering a timed 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run. The event is volunteer led by a nonprofit group and supported by local sponsors, including Chick-fil-A Roberts Avenue-Jackson Court. Registration includes a free entry fee. Pre-registered participants have electronic waivers on file and can pick up shirts at a dedicated pre-registration pickup area organized by last name. Day-of registrants must complete a paper waiver and may receive a shirt while supplies last; sizes for day-of shirts cannot be guaranteed.
The course is marked with directional signs and spray painted turn markings. The route is described as very flat with one slightly downhill section near the river; participants are advised to take care if the pavement is wet or covered in leaves. Elm Street between 4th and 3rd will be closed for the finish line; several downtown parking options are listed including the Downtown Square, 3rd Street, Chestnut Street, and the Courthouse parking lot. After the run there will be photo opportunities, snacks, and post-run recovery items available near the finish area.
