Rumba on the Lumber 10K

Location and date
The UNC Health Southeastern races take place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Lumberton, North Carolina. The start/finish area is at Chestnut and 4th Streets, Lumberton, NC 28358.
Race events and course
The event program includes:
- 5K
- 10K
- Family Fun Mile
The course is described as very flat and is measured and certified. All racers receive a free t-shirt; participants who registered before February 1 are guaranteed their shirt size. All 5K and 10K participants receive free entrance to the chili cook-off that follows those races.
Entry, check-in and prizes
The published entry fees are $30 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K; the Family Fun Mile is free. Day-of registration is available through RunSignUp, but all entrants must check in at the registration tent to receive a bib. Sponsored runners must register using their sponsor codes and also check in. Check-in begins at 7:30.
Prize money for the 5K and 10K is listed by category:
- Overall male and female places 1 ($200), 2 ($175), 3 ($150)
- Masters male and female places 1 ($150), 2 ($125), 3 ($100)
- GrandMasters male and female places 1 ($100), 2 ($75), 3 ($50)
