Rumba on the Lumber 10K

UNC Health Southeastern 5K, 10K & Fun Mile (Rumba on the Lumber)
The event in Lumberton, North Carolina features three road races held on March 7, 2026, at Chestnut and 4th Streets. The course is measured and certified and is described as very flat and fast. All racers receive a race t-shirt; registrants who signed up before February 1 are guaranteed their shirt size. All 5K and 10K participants receive free entrance to the chili cook off that follows those races.
Prize money is offered for both the 5K and 10K in overall, masters, and grandmasters divisions. Overall male and female places 1, 2 and 3 receive $200, $175 and $150 respectively. Masters places 1, 2 and 3 receive $150, $125 and $100. GrandMasters places 1, 2 and 3 receive $100, $75 and $50.
Day of race registration is available through RunSignUp, but runners must check in at the Registration tent to receive their bib. Sponsored runners must register with sponsor codes on RunSignUp and also check in to receive their bib. Check in opens at 7:30.
These races take place as part of the Rumba on the Lumber festival, which includes live music, arts and crafts, chili, food and other festival activities.
