Robert's Run
Robert's Run is a multi-distance athletic event held in Hamilton, Montana, based at Hamilton High School. The event supports the Play Like Robert Foundation, which focuses on community connection, charitable activities, and the development of local infrastructure, specifically the expansion of a pedestrian and commuter path along Golf Course Road.
Participants can choose from several distinct running and walking distances:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile
- Tri-Fecta (participation in all three distances, totaling 10.3 miles)
The courses are localized within the Bitterroot Valley. The 1 Mile course is designated as stroller-friendly, while larger-wheeled strollers are suggested for those navigating the 5K and 10K routes. Timing for the events is managed through chips attached to the race bibs. Beyond the physical races in Hamilton, virtual participation options are available for all distances, as well as a flexible category where participants can engage in various activities like cycling, hiking, or swimming from any location.
The event site at Hamilton High School hosts a family-oriented festival following the races, featuring refreshments and games. Organized packet pick-up sessions are held on the day before the event and on the morning of the races in the school parking lot. Participants who register by the designated cutoff date receive an event t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
