Robert J. Lynes Memorial Road Race
The 4th annual memorial road race is a community event at Hubbard Park in Meriden, Connecticut. The event features a 5K run/walk and a kids Fun Run held on the same day. Proceeds and donations support a memorial fund for the preservation and beautification of Hubbard Park.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles), online registration only
- Kids Fun Run, free
Registration uses an online system and fees vary by registration date. A reduced price window is noted for April 26 through May 3. T shirts are provided to 5K registrants who register before October 17, 2026. Entry fees for the 5K start at $25 and increase for later registration periods.
Awards will recognize the top three men and top three women overall and first place in each age group. After the race there is a raffle of gift cards and baskets; each race registrant receives one free raffle ticket. A local physical therapy provider will offer free massages, compression boot sessions, and optional movement screens for attendees.
Past proceeds have supported park improvements such as a public bench and planting daffodil bulbs, and donations have been made to the local Daffodil Festival for fireworks and other support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
