Rob Roy Mighty Hike
The Rob Roy Mighty Hike is a fundraising hiking event organised by Macmillan Cancer Support, held at Claish Farm, Callander FK17 8JJ on 29 August 2026. The route follows sections of the Rob Roy trail through the Great Trossachs Park, passing above Loch Venachar and along Loch Drunkie. The course includes long, slow climbs and offers open landscape views.
Two distance options are provided:
- Marathon - 25.5 miles
- Half Marathon - 14.5 miles
The event package for registered participants includes a Macmillan hiking top, training and fundraising support from the Mighty Hike team, regular pit stops stocked with snacks and toilets, a fresh buffet lunch, a hot meal at the finish, and medical support. Expert mountain leaders guide participants on the route. Practical extras include free professional photos, a finishers medal and a glass of bubbly.
Parking for both distances is available at the start at Claish Farm House. Free shuttle buses run from the half marathon finish at Dounans Outdoor Centre back to the event start in the afternoon.
